Manufacturing Tent

Be the first to rate

A Manufacturing Tent is an enclosed production area we supply to businesses whose factory has no room for a new production line or machine, where staff work all day. Crane, machine layout, electrics and ventilation are planned per project.

Product description

For a production line that does not fit in the factory

A manufacturing tent is for businesses that want to move a new production line, assembly section or packaging section outside the factory. Unlike a warehouse, people work inside it all day. That is why, for a manufacturing tent, the crane, machine layout, electrics, lighting, ventilation and thermal comfort are discussed before the size. We supply manufacturing tents; we provide the Warehouse Tent Installation service with our own crew.

Options for a Manufacturing Tent

  • Crane: If an overhead crane will be used, the crane runway and the columns that carry it are calculated separately in the project. The clear interior height is based on the machine height and the working clearance of the crane hook.
  • Machine layout: Heavy or vibrating machines sit on their own foundations. The tent is positioned according to the machine layout plan.
  • Material flow: The doors where raw material comes in and finished goods go out can be placed at the two ends of the line, so material moves forward without doubling back.
  • Working conditions: Double-layer tarpaulin or insulated side walls, ridge ventilation and fan options are available. Electrics and lighting are attached to the frame.

Quote and permit

For a quote, send us the machine list and dimensions, your crane requirements, the length of the line, the number of workers and the address of the site. The frame is selected according to the snow and wind loads calculated for the project location. If a project-specific frame is needed, we offer a Steel Construction Fabrication service.

Article 5 of Turkish Zoning Law No. 3194 also classifies temporary and movable facilities as structures. Before installing the tent, check with your municipality or your organized industrial zone management. If you are looking for a smaller area for welding, painting or maintenance work, see the Workshop Tent page; for storage only, see the Warehouse Tents page. You can reach us through the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can an overhead crane be installed in a manufacturing tent?

Yes, but the crane must be part of the project from the start. The crane runway and the columns that carry it are calculated separately in the project; a crane added later may not suit the frame.

Are heavy machines placed on the tent floor?

Heavy or vibrating machines sit on their own foundations. The tent is positioned according to the machine layout plan and anchored to the ground separately.

Can people work inside in winter?

Single-layer tarpaulin does not retain heat. For winter work, state the double-layer tarpaulin or insulated side wall option and your heating plan at the quote stage.

What is the difference between a manufacturing tent and a workshop tent?

A manufacturing tent is planned for a production line, with the crane, machine foundations and material flow as the main concerns. A workshop tent is chosen for smaller-scale work such as welding, painting, maintenance and repair.

What information is needed for a quote?

The machine list and dimensions, crane requirements, the length of the line, the number of workers, the ground type and the address of the site.
