Product description

For gardens that want round pebbles without edges

Riverball Round Pebble Stone is a decorative pebble with a round and oval shape. Because it has no sharp edges, it gives a soft, water-worn stone look when laid. It is used for garden paths, dry creek beds, around pools and as pot top dressing.

A dry creek bed with Riverball

A dry creek bed is a winding strip of stone that looks as if water flows through the garden. First, mark the line of the strip on the ground with a hose. Dig out a few centimeters inside the line and lay a membrane to keep weeds out. Spread size 1-3 cm stones in the middle of the bed. Line the edges with size 5-7 cm stones; the large stones define the edge of the strip. If you use size 3-5 cm stones at the transitions, you get a soft link between the small and large sizes.

On a path that will be walked on often, the small size is more comfortable underfoot. The large size is for edges and accents.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Riverball and angular gravel?

Riverball is round and oval and has no sharp edges. Angular crushed gravel has broken faces and gives a harsher texture.

Which size grade should I buy for a dry creek bed?

Use 1-3 cm for the middle of the bed and 5-7 cm for the edges. At the transitions, 3-5 cm links the two sizes.

What type of rock is it?

The trade name describes the stone's shape, not its rock type. If you need to know the rock type, ask us before you order.

Can it be used on a walking path?

Yes. On a path that is walked on often, the small size grade is more comfortable underfoot; put the large stones along the path edges.

How is it sold?

We ship it in 25 kg bags, 1-ton big bags or bulk. We state which size grade comes in which packaging in the quote.
