The 2D Panel Fence System is a flat welded wire panel with two wires in every horizontal row and no V-folds. The wire structure is 6/5/6 mm and the panel width is 250 cm. It is used around schools, sports grounds, parks and facilities.

Flat panel with double horizontal wires and no folds

The 2D Panel Fence System is a flat welded wire panel without V-folds. Each horizontal row has two horizontal wires, and the vertical wire is welded between them, which is why the panel face is flat. It is used on long runs around schools, sports grounds, parks and public buildings.

A 3D panel gets its stiffness from horizontal V-folds. A 2D panel has no folds; the thick double horizontal wires do that job instead. That is why 2D panel wires are thicker than 3D panel wires: the wire structure is 6/5/6 mm. The first and last figures give the double horizontal wire, and the middle figure gives the vertical wire.

Where is a 2D panel the right choice?

For home gardens and residential complex perimeters, a 3D Panel Fence is usually enough. A 2D panel is preferred around sports fields where balls hit the fence, in school yards where children climb and lean on it, and in public areas that call for a flat, plain look.

How does 2D Panel Fence System work?

In each horizontal row, two horizontal wires are welded to the vertical wire that runs between them. The panel is not folded; it gets its stiffness from the thick double horizontal wires. The panel attaches to the post with clamps.

Using and installing 2D Panel Fence System

  1. Define the use

    Will balls be played in front of the fence, will children lean on it, and how long is the run? Choose the wire type based on these questions.

  2. Measure the line

    Divide the run length by the panel width and round up; you need one more post than panels.

  3. Choose the post

    The panel attaches to a 50x50x1.5 mm box-section post with clamps. We settle the post length with you at the quotation stage based on the ground.

  4. Specify the ground type

    On soil, posts are set in concrete; on a concrete base, flanged posts are fixed with anchors.

Care: Clean the painted surface with water and a soft brush. Cover scratches with touch-up paint.

What does 6/5/6 mean?

It shows the panel's wire structure: each of the double horizontal wires is 6 mm and the vertical wire is 5 mm.

Is a 2D panel more expensive than a 3D panel?

Because the wires are thicker, it usually contains more steel, and the price reflects that. We give the exact figure in the quote based on run length, height and wire type.

Can a 2D panel be used in a home garden?
