200 cm Grass Fence is for anyone who wants full screening around a garden or facility. Even a standing adult cannot see behind the fence.

For a home, check your municipality's plan notes for this height first. On side and back boundaries, 150 cm Grass Fence is often enough. Türkiye's Planned Areas Zoning Regulation limits garden walls set back from the street facade to 1.5 meters. The same article excludes garden walls of schools, hospitals and similar facilities, and of industrial zones, from this limit. So factories in industrial zones, schools and hospitals are not bound by it.

Wind and posts with 200 cm grass fence

Grass fence forms a closed surface. The taller it is, the greater the wind load on the fence, and that load is transferred to the posts. Before installing a 200 cm fence, have the post thickness and spacing checked. If you want full screening, the 42x42 mm mesh gives a denser texture.

How does 200 cm Grass Fence work?

Synthetic grass fibers are attached to a galvanized steel wire carrier. The roll is unrolled along an existing wire or panel fence, pulled tight and tied. The fibers fill the wire mesh. Because the fence is a closed surface, the wind load is transferred to the posts; at 200 cm this load is higher.

Using and installing 200 cm Grass Fence

  1. Check the plan

    For a home, check your municipality's plan notes. Garden walls of schools, hospitals and facilities in industrial zones are not subject to this height limit.

  2. Measure the line

    Measure the fence line in meters, divide it by the roll length and round up. A 125-meter line needs 13 rolls.

  3. Prepare the support

    At 200 cm, the wind load increases. Have the post thickness and spacing checked before installation.

  4. Tie and tighten

    Unroll the fence along the inner face of the existing fence, pull it tight and secure it with wire ties.

    ISO 4892-2 UV aging test report (grass fence PVC strip)

    The green PVC roll strip was exposed to 672 hours of UV aging with a xenon arc lamp according to ISO 4892-2:2013. After the test, color change was measured as 5-4 on the gray scale (5 = no change), and no brittleness or cracking was observed. The test was carried out on a raw material sample (green PVC roll strip) of the PVC strip used in our grass fences, on behalf of our raw material supplier; it is not a test of the finished fence system. Can 200 cm grass fence be used at my home?

The regulation limits garden walls set back from the street facade to 1.5 meters; the municipal plan may set a different height. For a home, we recommend checking your municipality's plan notes before installing.

Is there a height limit around factories and schools?

Article 43 of Türkiye's Planned Areas Zoning Regulation excludes garden walls of schools, hospitals and similar facilities, and of industrial zones, from the height limit. In these areas the height is not limited by this article; still check the municipality's plan notes.

Can wind damage the fence?

The fence is a closed surface and the wind load is transferred to the posts. If the posts are not thick enough or closely spaced, they can bend. Have the support checked before installation.
