Making an outdoor court playable in winter
A tennis court tent is for clubs, residential complexes, hotels and municipalities that want play on an outdoor court to continue in winter and in the rain. The clear-span frame runs the length of the court, and the roof and sides are covered with PVC-coated polyester tarpaulin. We supply tennis court tents; if a project-specific frame is needed, we offer a Steel Construction Fabrication service.
Questions specific to tennis
- Lob height: In a lob, the ball rises high above the net. The clear interior height is set in the project based on these shots; the roof shape should maintain the height over the middle of the court.
- Behind the court: Players hit from well behind the baseline and run outside the sidelines. The tent size includes this playing space.
- Seeing the ball: A yellow ball can disappear against light-colored tarpaulin. A dark backdrop curtain can be placed behind the court.
- Light: During a lob, the player looks up. Light fixtures are positioned so they do not shine into the player's eyes; translucent tarpaulin lets in daylight.
Quote and permit
For a quote, send us the dimensions of the court and the open space around it, the number of courts, the surface and the address. The court surface is chosen separately from the tent. The frame is selected according to the snow and wind loads calculated for the project location. Article 5 of Turkish Zoning Law No. 3194 also classifies temporary and movable facilities as structures. Check with your municipality before installation.
For basketball and football, see the Basketball Court Tent and Football Pitch Tent pages. Other models are in the Indoor Sports Tents category. You can reach us through the contact page.
