Fibrillated yarn for multi-sport facilities
Dogu Artificial Grass is an artificial grass woven with fibrillated yarn. It is used in different sports areas such as football, tennis, hockey, baseball, multi-purpose courts and running tracks. Pile height is offered in options between 20 mm and 65 mm, so the same facility can use a short pile on its track and a long pile on its pitch. Short pile is chosen for tennis, hockey and running tracks; long pile for football pitches.
Fibrillated yarn is woven as a tape and, with use, splits into very fine fibers that form a net-like structure. In straight (monofilament) yarn each fiber stands on its own; in fibrillated yarn the fibers stay connected to each other. This structure is preferred on short-pile surfaces where the infill needs to be held between the yarns.
