Shelter for the first weeks after a disaster
A disaster relief tent is a temporary shelter where families whose homes are damaged or unsafe stay until permanent housing is ready. It consists of a galvanized steel tube frame and a PVC-coated polyester tarpaulin stretched over that frame. Municipalities, public institutions and aid organizations also keep these tents in stock in their disaster warehouses. We supply the tents by quantity and type according to your requirements list.
A tent camp needs two types of tent. The family tent is the enclosed space where one household sleeps and keeps its belongings. The communal tent is larger and is set up as a clinic, aid distribution point, dining area or coordination center. If you plan your order around the number of each type, you will not be short of space on site.
Options for the Disaster Relief Tent
- Size: Determined by how many people will stay in it and what the tent will be used for.
- Winter use: Inner lining, groundsheet and stove pipe outlet options are available. Specify tents going to cold regions when you place your order.
- Tarpaulin: The fabric weight is chosen per project; we state the weight you choose in writing in the quote.
- Shipping: The tents arrive packed; we ship to all 81 provinces of Türkiye.
For institutions keeping stock
For institutions that stock tents before a disaster, how the tent is stored also matters. Fold the tarpaulin dry and store it in a closed warehouse; tarpaulin folded damp will mold in storage. Unpack the tents in stock once a year and count the parts. Trying the setup during a drill means the team knows what to do in a real disaster.
For field tents sized to a specification, see the Military Tent page; for other models, see the Disaster Relief Tent category. For a quote, send us the tent types, quantity, number of people per tent and the destination province via the contact page.
