A folding tent that opens and closes
An accordion tent is a folding tent whose frame opens and closes with a scissor mechanism. It is meant for short-term uses such as a trade fair stand, open-air market stall, event, promotion or registration point. When opened, a PVC-coated polyester tarpaulin covers the top; when the job is done, the frame folds down, shrinks and is carried by vehicle. We supply accordion tents.
What sets it apart from a warehouse or hangar tent is that it is not permanently fixed to the ground and can be set up and taken down by a few people. That is why frame weight, size and how it will be secured in wind matter most when choosing one.
Options for the Accordion Tent
- Sizes: 3x3 m, 3x4 m and 4x6 m options are available; you can ask about other sizes.
- Transport: The tent shrinks when folded and is carried by vehicle.
- Side walls: Optional side walls block wind and sun from one or more sides.
- Anchoring: The foot plates are secured with stakes on soil, or with weights on concrete or asphalt.
In use
Do not use the accordion tent without anchoring it to the ground; a lightweight tent can tip over in wind. When the wind picks up, open the side walls or fold the tent. After rain, do not fold the tarpaulin before it dries and leave it that way for long.
If you are looking for a fixed cover that slides on rails, see the Retractable Tarpaulin page. Other models are in the Accordion Tent category. For sizes and quantities, reach us via the contact page.
